andwis Technical & Compliance Conference Production at Rose Court, London

The Production People delivered a complete set, stage, lighting and AV production package for the andwis Group marketing team, transforming their Technical & Compliance Conference into a fully branded, professional event experience.

This one-day conference showcased the company’s comprehensive range of technical and compliance services while providing valuable industry insight through a programme of expert keynote speakers.

Having selected Rose Court on Southwark Bridge for its spectacular views across the London skyline, the andwis marketing team appointed The Production People to design and deliver a bespoke conference stage and production solution that reflected the strength of the brand.

By becoming involved early in the planning process, we collaborated closely with both the venue and the andwis team to develop the stage design and specify a complete AV production package that would overcome the venue’s technical limitations.

Site Visit & Production Challenges

During our initial site visit to Rose Court, we identified several logistical challenges that required careful planning and creative solutions.

Challenge 1 – 10th Floor Access

The conference space was located on the 10th floor, meaning every item of equipment had to fit into the building’s lifts. Large prefabricated scenic panels were not an option, so we designed a modular set that could be transported in sections and assembled on-site.

To support the installation, we also arranged additional local crew for the load-in.

The venue team understood the access restrictions and reserved two lifts exclusively for our production crew, allowing us to work efficiently throughout the installation.

Challenge 2 – Restricted Load-In Schedule

As Rose Court operates primarily as a commercial office building, equipment could not be brought into the venue until 5:00pm, with the entire installation needing to be completed by 11:00pm.

To meet this tight schedule, we increased the installation team by hiring seven local crew members, ensuring the entire production was built safely and on time.

Challenge 3 – Low Ceiling Height

The conference room’s ceiling height prevented the use of conventional flown lighting, ceiling-mounted projection or a high-level stage.

Instead, we designed a low-level presenter stage paired with a modular LED video wall that could be assembled in sections. Around the screen, we created a bespoke scenic frame featuring printed fabric graphics and integrated LED backlighting, delivering a premium branded backdrop without compromising the venue restrictions.

Bespoke Set Design

The overall creative concept was developed by the andwis marketing team, while The Production People specified the scenic framework and stretch-fabric graphic system.

Using tensioned fabric graphics on a lightweight modular frame eliminated the need for oversized scenic panels while allowing the LED wall to integrate seamlessly into the design.

Behind the graphics, LED batten lighting illuminated the panels, creating a clean, modern appearance that reinforced the andwis brand throughout the conference.

AV Production Specification

Having addressed the venue’s logistical challenges during the planning stages, we developed a conference AV specification designed to support multiple presenters, video playback and a seamless live event experience.

Presentation Support

The conference programme featured multiple presenters speaking in rapid succession, with most sessions lasting between 10 and 15 minutes.

To ensure every speaker remained on schedule, we installed two comfort monitors at the front of the stage displaying presentation notes alongside a countdown timer.

The fast-paced agenda demanded precise presentation management, with video content, PowerPoint files and microphones all coordinated in real time. Our graphics operator worked closely with presenters throughout the day, managing last-minute presentation updates while ensuring every session ran smoothly.

Delivering a Successful Conference

Early involvement in the planning process allowed us to identify potential challenges before they became issues, enabling the project to be delivered efficiently, on schedule and within budget.

The result was a fully branded conference production that showcased the andwis brand while providing delegates with a polished, professional event experience.

Client Testimonial

“This was my first time organising a conference of this scale. I don’t have a large event team, so having Dave and The Production People guide me through the technical production from the early planning stages made the entire process much easier and removed the worry of unforeseen issues.

The feedback from both our stakeholders and customers was overwhelmingly positive. It was incredibly satisfying to see the andwis brand represented in such a professional way.”
