Birmingham, a centrally located and well-connected city, played host to Mitie’s internal HR conference at the elegant Grand Hotel. With its ornate architecture and restored interiors, the venue provided a professional and sophisticated setting for this one-day corporate event attended by 180 members of the HR team.

Held in the heart of the city, The Grand Hotel was chosen for its blend of character, functionality, and ease of access for delegates travelling from across the UK. The venue’s iconic ballroom served as the main conference space, accommodating Mitie’s vision for an engaging and inspiring staff gathering.

The Production People were brought in to deliver a complete set, stage design, projection screens and AV solution to support the event’s visual and technical needs.

As technical production partners working alongside lead event producer Unique Media, our team ensured the setup was clean, modern, and professionally installed to suit the tone of the day. While Unique Media managed content and cues, TPP focused on delivering a seamless technical infrastructure.

The setup included:

Flexibility in Setup

With an early morning install and same-day turnaround, our crew ensured that everything was in place and tested before delegates arrived. By liaising closely with the venue and production lead, we made sure the space worked practically while maintaining its aesthetic appeal.

Though Mitie also held a senior sales event at The Oval during the same period, the Birmingham event was specifically tailored for HR staff, with different content and objectives.
